We are Amy & Matt…
We have been married since 2017, based in Warwick, UK and in our 30s. We share a passion for travelling, seeing new places and experiencing cultures which has grown over time and especially since the pandemic. It became our mission to travel in-between the various lockdowns - it was a challenge finding new places that had no restrictions - fast forward to now and we’ve well and truly got the bug!
We’ve found a formula for our holidays that means we focus on different elements, depending on the time of year, country and season. We are trying to take a break once every quarter. As small business owners, we prioritise travelling as a way to develop cultural intelligence, refill our cups, recharge, rest, reconnect with each other all whilst seeing the world.
We’ve got a long bucket list and are slowly ticking it off, year by year, trip by trip!
We have been known to go on an adventure even on a package holiday… we find stuff to do, and plan things to see purposefully. This is probably because we get bored easily! We like our nice hotels, comfort is key (especially for sleeping!) and we hunt for the best deal.
We have been known to go on a mountain hike, a speedboat trip, gone camping in the desert, seen wildlife including black bears… all the way to hour by hour city break itineraries cramming in all the sights before we race home. We try where possible to swim in every sea or ocean that is nearby (always get our vitamin sea!), carve in time for relaxation (if only mental rest, often our holidays end up being physically active!) and to have quality time with each other.
